Hi there! My name is Abegail or you can call me Abs for short. Well, I was born in Spain but I was raised in the Philippines, my mom is a Filipino, my father is half Filipino-Spanish. Now it makes sense, I am currently living here in the Philippines. Historically speaking and linguistically, a third of the Filipino language is derived from Spanish words, constituting some 4,000 loan words. In my teaching experience, I have over three to four years experience working with students both online and offline at all levels of learning. My goal with teaching is to understand where a student is struggling - whether it is exam anxiety, focusing in class, note-taking skills, or effective reading - and create strategies to work with each student that will target their unique problem. In a addition, I teach with university/college students as a part-time instructor. I absolutely LOVE teaching. Nothing gives more joy than being able to share your knowledge and allow others to reach their true potential! One of my hobbies is working out because it gives me energy and vitality. I also enjoy volunteer work and community activities. I volunteer a couple of hours per month at a daycare organization that hands out school supplies and outreach program in our small town. I spend time with my spouse and child, cooking their favorite meals and watching movies together.
